Once a manuscript is received, the Press and Publications Secretary of ASAHO evaluates its relevance and format and could request modifications in accordance with the list of proof of submission. Once completed, the manuscript is sent to five specialists for review, in a double-blind process in which the identity of both authors and reviewers are mutually unknown.
The authors are requested to effect the reviewers suggestions or justify their disagreement. The new version will be resent to the reviewers for final agreement. The final acceptance of the article is decided by the Press and Publications Secretary of ASAHO when there are no further pending considerations, whereas in doubtful cases the Editorial Committee will be invited to arbitrate.
Once the final version is received the article will be formatted to the journals layout and the galley copy sent to the authors for their final verification before publication.
